About South Buffalo Elementary

Principal:  Jeffrey Lesko

Welcome to the South Buffalo Elementary School!

South Buffalo Elementary School is located on 16 rural acres in South Buffalo Township, Pennsylvania.  The original one-story building was built in 1954, with additions completed in 1962 and in 1989.  An extensive renovation and expansion project was completed in 2007.  The school currently enrolls about 275 students in grades Kindergarten through 5.

The instructional program is progressive and expansive in meeting students' educational needs, with an extensive computer technology component in the curriculum for all grades beginning with Kindergarten, along with art, music, library, and physical education.  A reading support program provides specialized instruction to qualifying students through federal Title I funds.  South Buffalo Elementary offers both an instrumental music program and a chorus program for interested students in grades 4 and 5.  Children with special needs receive services in an inclusionary and resource setting.  The District's school nutrition program serves breakfast and lunch daily.  A registered nurse and a guidance counselor are available to the school's students.
